Setting up the instructor PC for Math 165- MWF at 7:30 – 8:50 a.m.
1.) Open up desktop presenter (found on the desktop as a shortcut)
2.) Open up the Notebook software
3.) Open up Microsoft Word
4.) Go to the instructor’s website (labeled Math 165 Notes as a tab in Firefox)
5.) Find the notes for the current date, select the entire page, and copy them into Word.
6.) Every time a line of “#######” occurs, highlight the line and insert a blank page.
Change the notes to 14 pt. Courier New and bold them. Make the margins narrow.
*Certain sections of the notes may need to be shrunk down in order to get them to fit onto the page correctly, this occurs most often when the instructor puts diagrams into his notes.*
7.) Print the notes as you normally would any other document, but make sure that Smart Notebook Capture is the selected print device.
8.) Once the notes are printed into Notebook, you may close word.
9.) In Notebook, click and drag the text on each page so that it is near the top of the page.
10.) Now look for the pages with blocks of code on them. After each of these pages, insert a new blank page.
11.) Read the last line of code, it will provide a file name on the “Math 165 Notes” website. Open up the link with this filename and copy the picture. Then paste it onto the blank page that follows the chunk of code including the filename.
12.) Repeat this process for every page as needed.
13.) Once this is done, reread the entire Notebook capture and make sure that it is formatted correctly and is visually appealing.
14.) Leave off on slide one, so that the notes are ready for the professor to use.
15.) Once done with the notes, go back to Firefox and open up the link that says “Math 165”, this opens up adobe connect.
16.) Enable the instructor camera feed, the audio feed, and the instructor’s desktop feed.
17.) The instructor’s PC is now setup.vice.

The following are the steps for setting up Math 166 with Professor Hentzel
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the class is scheduled to begin to allow appropriate time for setup
Setup Instructions:
After unlocking the door, set up the MacBook next to the Instructor PC & Open Adobe Connect
The professor likes to see the discussion while lecturing
Open Firefox and locate the Math 166 webpage on the bookmarks bar
Locate the appropriate notes on the webpage (labeled by date)
Copy and paste into a new word document
Change font to Courier New & Size to 13pt
Whenever a series of pound signs occur (ie: ###########) insert a page break
Print the document to smart notebook
Whenever the word "Export" occurs, there will be a corresponding graph (located on the webpage)
Insert a new blank page and paste that graph to the blank page
Only one graph/image per page - if multiple "export" commands, insert multiple blank pages
Fit the image to the page - make certain it is not distorted
Double check all graphs are included
Finish setting up the class normally
Adobe Connect
Wirecast & Backup Wirecast
Turn projector on
Record DVR
